Waimea Estates is delighted to announce its latest Gold Medal is for a new grape variety – with an interesting background. Waimea Sauvignon Gris 2013 was awarded Gold in the New Zealand International Wine Show 2013 announced over the weekend.

Waimea Estates is delighted that once again its wines have hit the headlines. The results of the 2013 Bragato Wine Awards were announced last night with Waimea Trev’s Red 2012 winning Pure Gold then progressing through the judging to take the Trophy for Champion Other Red. This Trophy is awarded to the best of the blended reds – a prestigious section including many of New Zealand’s most expensive red wines.
