In May, Martin spent 5 weeks overseas in the US, Canada and then met up with Trevor and Ben in China.  He attended the NZ Wine Fair in Vancouver and 'Discover New Zealand's Amazing Aromatics and Sensational Syrah' was the essence of the show.

Waimea Estates is delighted that once again its wines have hit the headlines. The results of the 2012 Bragato Wine Awards were announced last night with Waimea Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Waimea Classic Riesling 2009, Waimea Viognier 2010 and Waimea Late Harvest Riesling 2008 all taking Gold Medals. Only those wines conforming to sustainability accreditation can be awarded ‘Pure Gold'. Waimea’s Edel 2010 (a special blended white) and Waimea Noble Riesling 2005 were also awarded Silver Medals.
